VINTAGE EXTRA LARGE TURKEY PLATTER - UNIQUE TRANSFER WARE DESIGN and SHAPEThis Vintage Ex-Large Transfer Ware Turkey Platter with the unique shape and design has no marks or labels but looks very similar to ones I have seen that were made in Japan sometime around the 1940s-1950s. Its 20 inches long, 14 1/2 inches at its widest, roughly 13 by 7 inches across the slightly raised base, and the bowl of the platter is approx. 1 inch deep. And it must not have been used much for anything but decoration as its in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, crazing of the glaze, or scratches on any of the design.
