Just in time for the Easter holiday seasonis one of the favorite children\'s eggapproximate 4\" GERMAN PAPIER (\"paper\") MACHE CHROMOLITHOGRAPH ADORABLE GIRLS DRESSED IN THEIR Easter BEST EGG CANDY CONTAINER. This egg is an identical chromolith as one the eggs that sold last week; however this egg has white Dresden trim. The egg is CLEARLY MARKED \"GERMANY.\" The adorable little girls are enjoying the beautiful Easter day with their pet lamb. The same picture appears on both sides. The chromolithograph itself is bright but there is a tear in the chromolith on one side that runs vertical through the lamb so it is hard to detect. The egg is aged toned including slightly yellowed varnish. All of the Dresden trim is present except 1/2\" missing on one side and a couple isolated points; it is age soiled.The lace trim on the inside is present but is missing about 7 sections and some tips are tattered. The inside of the egg is aged toned and shows a tiny pink stain which I assume is from candy. This egg would make a special addition to the collection of the German holiday collector or a display in a basket of eggs or given as a gift to that special someone filled with a treasure.Long ago, the egg candy containers and were just as popular as the rabbit candy containers, if not more so as Easter gifts. Combining a rabbit candy container with eggs doubled the thrill of the little child and often doubled as toys for creative play.I do tryto describemyitems in detail but pleaseexamine the pictures for accuracy asthey are also part of the description.My goal is toidentify any visible issues and disclose them, but please ask questions. I am not the original owner so I don\'t know the history of this item only the disclosures I have made in trying to describe this item to you.
