A beautiful Karl Griesbaum singing bird box thatwas hand crafted in the late 1940s/early 195os. This style of box was a Karl Griesbaum High-end Brass Model features a heavy relief/intricate filigree design case top with chased borders around the perimeter of the case. Overall, this is a wonderful vintage singing bird box that is no longer produced and priced less then many new modern reproductions.
Buyer\'s note: notice the tiny wire legs on the bird - all Karl Griesbaum singing bird box birds have wire feet. If the bird does not have feet, the original bird has been replaced. More than 80% of the Karl Griesbaum singing bird boxes offered for sale do not have the original bird or original mechanical movement and unfortunately, not all sellers disclose this fact to potential buyers.
