Presenting a superb vintage hand carved freestanding Maori Tiki head.

This fabulous vintage piece has massive retro appeal, and
would make a gorgeous feature in any Tiki or tribal themed home
or bar not to mention a fantastic addition to any Maori Tiki collection!

This magnificent Tiki head has been exceptionally well hand carved from one
solid piece of beautifully coloured hard wood timber. The head has been finely
carved with stunning detail and highly decorated with fabulous traditional Maori
tattoo designs. Dazzling inlaid paua shell eyes perfectly complete the piece.

The timber has developed an appealing patina that only time can bring.

The superb piece is stamped to the reverse
side "Carved in Rotorua New Zealand".

This fabulous Tiki is presented in good vintage condition,
with the odd light scuff and scratch adding a fabulous aged charm.
These could easily be polished out if the new owner so chose. There is an
extremely shallow and very stable superficial surface crack to the front face
which is noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for
complete accuracy. The paua shell eyes are in superb condition with no cracks
or losses. This piece has been well cared for and presents beautifully.

This impressive Tiki figure stands approx 235mms tall,
measures 65mms in width and 90mms in depth.

This exquisite piece would make a fine addition
to any Maori Tiki or Oceanic Art collection!
