Offered is a Vintage Hand Woven Splint Oak Basket.
It measures approx. 14 1/2\" long by 13 1/2\" wide. It is 8\" tall to the top of the basket body, and 12 1/2\" tall including the handle.
This estate basket is likely 100+ years old!
There are three small holes (about the size of a nickel) in the bottom. There are several broken reeds and a previous repair made with string or thin rope. The handle will wobble back and forth, but is still intact in the basket. The basket was painted brown at some point through the years.
This basket is from a local farmhouse estate and was used for many decades. It was a way of life and survival, and not a display item through those years.
