Fanny Farmer Harley Davidson Motorcycle
In 1919, on the East Coast. Candy maker Frank O Connor named his new candy company after a real person-Fannie Merrit Farmer-an extraordinary Boston-born woman. Despite childhood paralysis, Fannie Farmer became the leading authority on cooking in her day. It was Ms. Farmer who introduced precise measurement-the level teaspoon, cup, etc., thus revolutionizing the world of food preparation. Fannie Merrit Farmer is known as the \"mother of measurements.
In the year 1900 , 19-year old Arthur Davidson and 20-year old Bill Harley would ride their bicycles to their favorite fishing hole. The Two loved the lake but were annoyed by the muddy , rough terrain that led to their favorite fishing spot and realized they would rather spend their time fishing than pedaling . Their solution was to design and build a motor-bicycle that would make their fishing trips faster and give them more time to fish .In 1903 the Two founded the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and set up shop in a 10- by 15-foot shed in Davidson\'s backyard . The rest is History .
