This is an exquisite vintage ruby red basse transparent (glass) Japanese ginbari Cloisonne Vase. I believe it to be from the meiji period, as it is not signed. I am not sure who made it either Sato or Ando. The condition is excellent plus plus plus, choice, without any cracks, chips whatsoever you could even call it flawless. Silver top rim is slightly tarnished, base is silver as well. It appears to be three dimensional base is ruby red chased with bamboo springs and a swallow or sparrow flying or perched on a bamboo branch. The height is 7 1/2 mouth opening is 2 1/4 inches wide. I don\'t know what else to call it? The widestarea of the (around) circle(circumference) is 9 3/4 inches. The outside and inside lighting is the reflection ( white lines spots all glares) that you see on the vase. If you have any question let me know. Please remember our Wounded Warriors Project.
