A vintage Goebel/Hummel nativity set comprising 14 pieces all carrying the facsimile M J Hummel signature & Goebel three line mark in blue TMK-4 dating this set to 1964-1972. The set is complete with the original wooden manger.The pieces are :-
Mary 214A, Baby Jesus 214A, Joseph 214B, Goodnight Angel 214C, Angel kneeling 214D, Shepherd with sheep 214F, Shepherd kneeling 214G, Little Tooter 214H, Donkey 214J, Ox lying 214K, Moorish king 214L, King kneeling (one knee) 214M, King kneeling (both knees) 214N, Lamb lying 214O.
The wooden manger measures 26 inches long by 12 inches deep by 14 inches tall at the apex of the roof. It is generally in very good condition. There is a small chip to the plywood base at the back left hand corner.
All the pieces are in excellent condition with no chips. cracks or restoration except for the donkey which has both left legs broken and re-glued.
