This is a good looking rifle scabbard from Schoellkope Co. G. H. Schoellkopf began business in 1869 in Dallas, Texas using the famous \"White Elephant\" brand. Around 1902 they changed the brand to \"The Jumbo\" brand. The scabbard measures approximately 6 1/2\" wide and 31\" long. The makers mark is in an oval and reads \" THE SCHOELLKOPF CO. USA DALLAS TEXAS FAMOUS JUMBO BRAND\" with a elephant in the oval. The numbers 144 020 appear below the markers mark. The scabbard is in great condition. The leather is heavy duty saddle leather with minor wear from age.
