Navajo, likely, Gallup Station Rug 35\" long by 13.5\" wide, I believe this is hand spun wool, Turquoise, Gray, Green, Black, small bit of gold/yellow on Ivory background.
Old Navajo small rug, display, or table runner. Has some age and signs of wear. Please see photos for details.It is in as found condition, clean and soft, butthere is a 2\" split that I have shown in the pictures with some small stains around the split area mostly just on one side.This has been packed away in cedar for many, many years, looks very clean but could probably use a cleaning.
The yarn in this one is particularly textured and fabulously nubby. There is really nice gradation of hues in the gray wool. The turquoise is very nice, the green is close to a natural dark khaki color.
One end has looped warp, the other is cut short fringe commensurate with Navajo Gallup rugs.Not certain of age but know that it has been packed since the late seventies.
