Item Description:

This vintage Navajo sterling silver concho belt has a storyteller olla pot design which has been lovingly created. Every concho is unique, the size and shape of the pots, the handstamped designs, as well as the backgrounds, vary on every concho. Each concho has a very intricate scene with silver on silver, texturing, chisel work, some gold face and handstamping. The belt measures 41 3/4\" long. The eleven individual conchos measure 2 5/8\" across including the small silver loops at each side. The thin silver links between the conchos measure 7/8\" across. The buckle concho is a little larger and measures 3\" across with loops. The entire belt weighs 9.12 ounces or 258.9 grams. This belt is signed with a capital T and Mountain hallmark and is stamped sterling. This is a vintage belt and it has a rich silver patina from age. Also, many of the thin silver links have been bent out of shape from use, but could be easily reshaped. This Navajo concho belt is in great vintage condition. One of the advantages of this style of belt is that they are adjustable for size by linking the buckle to any link of the belt.
