VINTAGE NORWEGIAN HANDMADE SAGA VIKING WOODEN DRINKING BOWL WITH PEWTER ACCENT TRIM & Verse FROM NORWAY SCANDINAVIA.
The text says: \"Mjøld er alltid god....so nær som i grautfatet 1983\" Mjøld is mead, a fermented drink made of honey, yeast, water. etc. From China originally but associated with Vikings.
This large bowl is a very solid and excellent example of a Viking style drinking bowl. It is made of heavy old wood with with a decorated pewter strap around the rim. It is Norwegian made with quality materials and craftmanship.
It measures a great 3\" tall 8\" in diameter and 2 1/2\" deep. Approximately.
The wood is 1/2\" thick.
Heavy and Handsome.
