VINTAGE NOS 1968 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR PENNANT POOR PEOPLES MARCH CIVIL RIGHTS:
$77.94

Here is an old POOR PEOPLE\'S MARCH 1968 WASHINGTON DC PENNANT. This is a cloth material pennant and I purchased 7 of these as NEW OLD STOCK items (all the seller had). It is in near mint condition. I did internet research before and after buying and have only found one other of these and it was represented as a 1968 pennant. Of course I questioned the seller and he stated these were old and he assumed from 1968, but could not confirm. He did state they he certainly was not aware of it being a reproduction and that this was all he had and he didn\'t know where any more were. My own thoughts as a pennant collector is that I have been buying/selling for years and have not run across this, but if it was a reproduction I would assume I would be seeing it online or flea markets, antique stores, etc., but I have not so I am going with that this is either an original 1968 item or produced shortly after the March as a commemorative item. In any case, it is a beautiful piece and, at lease based on my research and pennant market experience, a rare item as well. This Campaign was led by Martin Luther King in 1968 to culminate as a May, 1968 march on Washington. Mr. King was tragically killed by a gunman in April, 1968, but the event leaders continued on to complete the historic POOR PEOPLE\'S MARCH on May 12, into DC, with several thousand marchers. Several stayed on and set up in makeshift houses and tents during the weeks following.
Nice nostalgic item and a great collectible piece of Vintage Nostalgic Americana!CONDITIONNear Mint. Please see pic(s)!

Age is est. to be from the late 1960s.

It is approx. 23.5\" long - made of a cloth material with no spine or tassels.

A nice collectible piece!

I ship 99% of these in bubble envelopes and bend/fold them usually only once (if over 12\"). Often there is a fold somewhere already on the pennant, so I fold on the already existing fold.If it is likely to leave a fold mark I stuff tissue paper at the fold to minimize any permanent mark/wrinkle.

Note: I sell alot of old vintage pennants on . Many of these have folds, pin holes, possible soil marks, or other minor flaws. Assume they are not perfect and you will be happy with any of them.

If you are unhappy with any item after receiving it, I offer a full refund.

Please read my condition of the item above. If I describe an issue, such as a tear in the pennant, please do not give negative response and say \"there was a tear in the pennant\". I know that sounds silly, but I will get emails from time to time where someone is unhappy and when they tell me why I see it was clearly written in my condition section above, but they don\'t want to hear me tell them that. So I politely explain they can return it for a full refund and they don\'t want to hear that either. They would rather just complain. I don\'t know how to fix buyers like that, but if you think you fit in that category please reevaluate your life and become a more positive human being for mankind and especially for those who have to put up with you every day.

If you want to ask specific questions about the condition before offerding I will certainly do my best to answer them. If there is something that concerns you in the pics or description, it is always best to ask on the front end.

Thanks for looking and please look at other pennants that I have for sale! I will combine shipping if you let me know before I print the postage. If I have no offers and you are interested in multiple pennants, let me know or make an offer and I will get back to you. Also, if you see one I have had listed awhile in my store, feel free to make an offer. I usually lower the price on any that don\'t sell every couple of weeks. Please note that any request for a lower price should be \"reasonable\". It wastes time for both of us for a 50% offer.

My motto.......offer HIGH AND offer OFTEN.
