Just in time for the Easter holiday season is one large VINTAGE GERMAN 6\"Papier (\"paper\") MACHE CHILDREN GOLD AND ROSE FLORAL CANDY CONTAINER. The egg is partially markedGERMANY on the inside of the egg. The egg has its original string hanger. The egg is decorated with a pink and red rose patterned chromolithograph on each side. The chromolithograph is colorful although shows slight signs of vintage and surface wear. Large sections of Dresden trim are missing. The lace trim on the inside of the egg is present except for one 2\" section. The inside of the egg is age-toned and fairly clean.Overall, the eggwould make a great addition as a basket filler with other Easter egg candy containers. Long ago, the egg containers were just as popular as the rabbit candy containers, if not more so as an Easter gift. Combining a rabbit candy container with eggs doubled the thrill of the little child and often double as toys for creative play.Ido tryto describemyitems withaccuracy but pleaseexamine the pictures for accuracyas they are also part of the description.
