VINTAGE PARKER 51 VACUMATIC FOUNTAIN PEN CEDAR BLUE RESTORED EXCELLENT 14K FINE:
$125.00
Here is a vintage Parker 51 Vacumatic filling fountain pen in Cedar Blue.
This pen has been completely restored and is in working order. The hood has been removed from the barrel of the pen. Removal of the hood allows for removal of the nib, collector, feed and breather tube for cleaning. Vacumatic filling unit has been removed from the back end of the pen. All remnants of previous diaphragm have been removed and a new diaphragm has been properly cut to length and installed. Pen has been tested to ensure proper filling and functionality. This pen works and fills as it should.
Cedar Blue Lucite hood, barrel and blind cap are all free from any chips, cracks or breaks. These three pieces show signs of normal usage, but no serious flaws to report.
Parker 51 imprint is present and legible. Present is the 1948 date code.
14k Parker 51 tubular nib, fine point with a 1948 date code, which would be correct for a 1948 date coded pen.
This 51 has a Lustraloy cap with an early (pre-1948) Parker “Blue Diamond” gold filled clip. Cap shows normal signs of wear, but does have a small impression or ding to the right side of the clip. There are wear marks on the cap too. Cap is clean, although not perfect. Some marks to the clip as well, maybe some brassing to the high points of the clip. I have not polished the clip in attempt to remove any patina or tarnish.
Pen is free from any names, initials or personalizations.
