OFFERED FOR SALE TODAY IS THIS BEAUTIFUL AND RARE CIRCA 1942 JAEGER LECOULTRE RAF AIRCREW ISSUE MILITARY POCKET WATCH IN LOVELY ORIGINAL CONDITION.

WITH A SUPERB CAL 467/2 GENUINE GILDED JAEGER LECOULTREORIGINALMOVEMENT AND A MINTY DIAL.

FRESH FROM AN ESTATE SALE AND NEVER OFFERED ON BEFORE!

CASE:

This is a stunning, and beautiful chrome three piece snap back watch case. The back of the case is marked 6E/50and A21865 which are full military markings for an RAF aircrew (Navigator/Observer) watch. You will see quite a few Army versions of this watch on but the RAF versions are very rare to find! The watch is fully stamped with the British Military Broadarrow mark. The case is in good original condition for its advanced years showing some wear to the chrome parts of the case especially the shoulders and back of the case where there is brassing. The case back has some normal wear and tear from service usage. The watch measures 5.0cms (50mm) In diameter, excluding the crown. This is a stunning and beautiful QUALITY original JAEGER LECOULTRE military watch case.

DIAL:

This is an absolutely lovely, and most importantly totally original fully signed MINTY white dial. The dial is signed \"Jaeger LeCoultre\" in white painted lettering. It has BLACK painted Arabic and numerals bordered by a black minute track which is in excellent original condition. The beautiful blued steel pointer hands were only ever fitted on the RAF version of this watch. They are original and are in superb condition! The subsecond hand is also in excellent condition. This is a really lovely dial in excellent minty original condition. The acrylic crystal the only brand new addition to the piece and is showing no wear whatsoever.

MOVEMENT:

This is a beautiful and absolutely genuine JAEGER LECOULTRE FULLY SIGNED HI GRADE manual wind movement. This movement would have been hand made in the Jaeger LeCoultre workshops by a master craftsman. It has a beautiful finish and is FULLY signed on the top plate in a beautiful gilded typesetting, showing its true Jaeger roots. There is a caliber number of 467/2 stamped at the side of the balance. The watch winds smoothly and sets with ease. It is in full working condition and has nice quiet operation and has just been lightly oiled and checked for timekeeping. The watch is keeping good time as tested over a 24 hour period (approx +1 min a day). The stainless original crown looks genuine to the watch, and is in excellent condition showing slight normal wear.
