About Us.
In 1988, we organized, wrote the catalog, set up the photos, procured the consignments for the 1st major antique golf & sports sale in the country. We also created sale software that was years ahead of the major sale houses in the US as well as England and Scotland. In 1990, we started Sporting Antiquities, a business designed to sell golf and sporting antiquities through sale. Also in 1990, I was asked to be the Official Golf Appraiser for the Golf Exposition in Charleston, South Carolina. Sam Snead was asked to be the Official Golf Professional for the Expo. We both accepted.
Years ago, on New Year\'s day, I had the privilege of appraising the collection of Gene Sarazen, sharing his favorite green pasta at dinner, and watching the college football bowl games together with he and his family.
