Welcome to the sale for this outstanding mid-century blue Sheaffer Imperial Touchdown White Dot fountain pen with original presentation case. It was recently acquired from the living estate sale of a retired Marine Corp 4-star general in the Conyers, GA area.
Overall, both pen and case appear in excellent possibly unused condition. I have polished the pen with a lint-free cloth and did not see any defects or scratches other than evidence of cap removal. Made of blue plastic it has a vacuum pump filler that appears clean and unused. The slip-on cap is imprinted \"Sheaffer, Made in USA.\" Both cap top and pen bottom are sort of squared with rounded corners. The clip is plain, no imprint. Both clip and band around cap are gold tone and possibly gold plated. The V-inlaid nib is marked \"14K, Made in USA, Sheaffer.\" Sorry don\'t know how to determine nib size.
The case is a brown tone, very clean, no marks or defects noted in or out. Elastic snug.
