Offering a gorgeous vintage \'MARGOT DE TAXCO\' sterling silver and \'champleve enameled inlaid\' necklace.
The necklace is comprised of 27 rectangular links which are done in a sterling \'Greek Key\' design with inlaid enamel work in cobalt blue, light blue, red, green, yellow, orange, etc.
The necklace is a beautiful example by \'MARGOT DE TAXCO\'... MARGOT VAN VOORHIES CARR (b. 1915 - d. 1985) She was active from 1940 - 1974.
The necklace is marked \'STERLING SILVER MADE IN MEXICO with the \'SILHOUETTE EAGLE\' MARK with the #16. The eagle mark with the #16 was registered to Margot. Then there is the mark \'5403 MARGOT DE TAXCO\'... This mark was used from the \'LATE 1960\'S - EARLY 1970\'S.
