VINTAGE SILVER HAT PIN OFSACAJAWEAWITH CRESCENT DESIGN

This is a UNIQUE solid silver vintage hat pin with the face of the famous Indian interpreter and guideSacajaweawith a crescent along side.

Condition: This hat pin is in great condition with no damage. It is all original and has been hand polished. There is some patina present and some veryslight surface scratches.

Description: This vintage pin is 2 5/8 inches long and the face ofSacajaweaand crescent is an oval shape that is 9/16 inches in diameter and is done in relief. The pin is soldered to the back and near the top of the shaft it has two very small “makers marks” on each side. One is a diamond or crown shape and the other isindistinguishable. Center area of the pin has slanted marks on each side. There are no other marks or words on the entire piece. (please see high resolution pictures) Taking in consideration the age and condition,It is solid .925 fine silver. One of the pictures is an etching ofSacajaweaI found online that I think is a very close resemblance of the face on this pin. You be the judge…: )

This will make a great gift for any one who collects or likes hat pins or hair decorations. Although I am not an expert in antique silver pieces or marks, this description and identification is my best observations.
