I have been servicing singer sewing machine\'s for over 10 years. This is by far one of the cleanest machines that I heave ever encountered. I didn\'t have to do much servicing on this one! All I had to do was to change the bobbin cover plate and rewire the motor and the wires for the plug. I\'m assuming this machine was stored in a nice dry Environment and it must have been covered. There was no oil residue on the machine at all. The slide plate is not original to the machine.( see pictures).

Notice the picture detailing the machine sewing through a heavy webbed belt. These machines Also sew through denim, upholstery and leather.

This particular machine in my opinion is a show piece. I hand crafted a wooden base that the machine sits in ( no Hinges) .
