VINTAGE Solid Silver BUTTER DESSERT KNIFE 1920 Hallmark Sterling MOTHER OF PEARL:

This is a lovely rarealmost ANTIQUE solid sterling silver butter knife or tea knife, which was made in Sheffield, England in 1920 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths, Walker & Hall at their Howard Street workshops. It measures6 3/8\" long and is 1/2\" across its blade. It weighs25.1 grams -well over3/4troy oz. It is in a delightful scimitar pattern with a solid sterling silver blade, a mother of pearl handle and is NOT engraved.

It is in very good condition with just the usual surface scratching that you\'d expect for its age and NO splits or dents - NOnotching and less than the usual wear to the tip - SUPERB - there is NO chipping and NO cracks to the mother of pearl handle. It is hallmarked to the blade with W&H, crown, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),cshowing that it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1920.
