This unique vintageJapaneseone piece scissors was specially madeby a Japanese master blade makerover 80 years agoofhigh carbon spring steel that holds an edge like no other. It shows some signs of use and age including surface patina, butstill, without touching the blade, it is sharp and cuts cleanly with little effort (see the last picture) and remains in overallveryfine condition. There is an etched signature, Misuzu (see picture 5).

This type of one piece scissors was designed for cutting threads, hairs and making small, precise cuts without damaging adjacent material. The inlaid blades are hand forged, combining the best quality low and high carbon \"white\" steels. Look at pictures 3 & 4 and you can actually see theseparationsof steel lamination. This size is suitable for fine fabric as well asdetailed bonsai work and ultra fine detail work. It functions well andhas many years of life for its next master.
