VINTAGE US Zone Steiff Bear 13\" Light Brown - RARE with Button and US Zone Tag:

This adorable 13\", 34cm, light-brown (caramel?) STEIFF bear is in very good condition for its age.
It retains most of its fur, although there are two areas where there is a bit of loss. The first is on its left arm near the shoulder and the second is a small area near its wrist. On an area of the tummy where you push to sound the squeaker, the fur has been flattened. The squeaker is not operational.
He retains his STEIFF button in his ear and the tag which reads \'Made in US Zone Germany\' is sewn into the back of his right arm. The tag has started to become unraveled but is still readable.
The Bear has glass eyes and brown floss on its nose and paws.
The paws are all in good condition with several tiny spots of discoloration, which does not distract from the beauty of this Bear that still retains over 95% of its fur.
I purchased the Bear in Berlin sometime between 1998 and 2001.
