The E. Rosen Company is a candy / novelty toy manufacturer in Providence RI who started business in 1911, and are still in business today.E Rosen Company (who also uses the name School House Candy) created a wide variety of pictorial backers for their lollipops/ suckers. They also owned the Rosbro Company, where they made hard plastic toys that they often combined with their candy, and Tico, both wholly owned subsidiaries.
Their candy containers have become highly prized by collectors. This sucker card features a lovely revolutionary war pretty girl. The card dates to the 1930\'s. This card has been lightly used - there is a previous owners name on the back, with a light crease to the top left hand corner. The card displays beautifully, and is in overall excellent vintage condition. The card is printed straight onto the cardboard. It measures 5\" x 6 1/4\". I have lots of other vintage Rosen sucker cards, so take a look! This one says \"added color\" on the bottom right, which means that the red color was added after the card was printed. The E. Rosen company name is on the bottom left. . I have this same card, slightly different, in two other listings. The other cards have slightly different printing, with one like this except for being unused, and one that is slightly different printing, and has 3 holes for the sucker instead of 2.
