MAGNIFICENT AND ONE-OF-A-KIND, IN BEAUTIFUL VINTAGECONDITION, FROM GUERRERO, MEXICO:

VINTAGE MEXICAN HAND-CARVED WOODENSCULPTURE OF A CHERUB HEAD WITH WINGS. GUERRERO-STYLE; INTENDED AS A WALL DECOR.

Wood-carved guardian angels and winged cherubs used to be apart of home décor in the Mexican villages for centuries since they are believedto bring good luck. The sculptures were carved from a solid Madera wood; Gessowas then applied on the front part, and the entire carved sculpture was then painted over by the artisan with a free-flying imagination. Wings are attached bynails. There are no two Cherub heads that are exactly alike. Each wood-carvedCherub head represents a beautiful piece of Mexican folk art!

This beautiful wall sculpture of a cherub head is done inGUERREERO style. This Cherub Head appearsto be inbeautifulvintage condition; wings are solidly attached;there areexpected spotty paintlossesand scratches on the surface of Gesso (see photos). Please review the photos very carefullyto fully appreciate the actual condition of the piece. Surface losses are minimal, wings are solid. The piece is in beautiful vintage condition!
