Offered for sale a \"VINTAGE SINGER ART DECO WALNUT SEWING CABINET & STOOL\". The cabinet has wonderfully sculptured curves on the drawers characteristic of the Art Deco design period. This model also features the removable Ink Well in the top left drawer (see photo #7) and thread spool rack in the top right drawer, with a total of four functional drawers. The overall dimensions: Cabinet Height...31\", Length of top extended...58 1/4\", Top closed...29\", Width...16 5/8\", Stool height...19\", Length...16 1/2\", Width...14 1/2\". The dimension of the sewing machine bed opening: Length...14 5/8\", without metal spacer bar...16 5/8\", Width...7 1/8\". The sewing machine removed from this cabinet was possibly Singer 201-2, although I am not certain. Various sewing machine models might also fit. Attention should be given to listed bed opening measurement to insure proper sewing machine replacement. The cabinet serial number is 0369641. This cabinet is well constructed and in good vintage condition with normal wear, some scrapes, scratches, minor water ring , and some veneer damage at the bottom edges. The stool is sturdy and also in good conditions with normal wear. It has the drop-in seat with original vinyl covering and storage area underneath. The Singer Mfg Label with New York Department of Labor Division of Bedding 1c Inspection Stamp is attached and in excellent condition. Some have converted these beautiful cabinets to desk, while others have preserved the original use as well designed cabinets of Singer\'s Best Sewing Machines.
