Hello and welcome! DESCRIPTION:
Up for sale is a genuine vintage HUGE surgical lamp/floor lamp, marked Scanlan-Morris Company, Madison Wisconsin. This is truly a one-of-a-kind light. I have owned it for over 10 years and always had hopes to one day renovate an old industrial building and make this light one of the center pieces of my living space. This would make the most amazing floor lamp in your loft apartment or condo or modern home, you will never see another like this one.
The lamp measures 6\"-2\" tall from the floor to the center of the arm pivot swivel so the actual light can be adjusted as high as 8\' ft. The lamp face (glass part) is roughly 17\" diameter across and lamp dome head is about 10\" tall. The rolling floor base measures about 30\" x 30\" and the large counter-balance ball on the opposite side of pivot arm is roughly 7\" diameter. All measurements approximate, age unknown. I am sure it will need to be re-wired to become functional again, an pretty simple task for a competent electrician/handyman. I am guessing lamp weighs between 100-150lbs, yes it is QUITE heavy! This paint finish of the lamp appears all original except for the top dome of the light, it appears to have been painted an aluminum color.

I am not set up to do crating or freight shipping. However, I will agree to deliver lamp to the shipper of your choice within a 20 mile radius of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, 64127. There are several shipping companies to choose from, UPS, FEDEX, Estes Express and Yellow Freight just to name a few. Again, I am not going to attempt to package such a large/heavy/bulky item. You will need to have your shipper package/box/crate item and deliver it to you at your own expense. No shipping or packaging fees are included in sales price.
