Here is a truly exquisite vintage black beaded evening bag made in France by Chunn in the 1940\'s -1950\'s with a Limoges porcelain clasp. A wonderful gift for that special someone or for yourself!There is a very subtle design of swirls and curlicues worked on the back of the purse while the front design features a central flower. All the beads are tightly sewn, no hanging, extra threads, no missing beads. The clasp folds over the top of the purse and closes tightly with a prong that fits into the overlapping clasp. The hinged clasp is beautifully shiny inside, no discolored areas. The clasp has a central oval Limoges porcelain depicting a romantic scene. This oval is surrounded by gold beads. One pushes on this porcelain piece to close the bag securely. This bag has a gold tone chain strap which does have some discoloration, however, this purse has not been cleaned, perhaps the discoloration could be buffed away. The strap is fastened tightly to the top of the bag. Inside the black satin lining is in pristine condition, no snags, tears or discolorations. The Chunn label is sewn to the inside pocket, it reads: \"Made in France Chunn 43, Rue Richer-Paris \"
There is a small side pocket containing a double sided mirror measuring 2 1/4\" square. The mirror has a circular area on both sides where the glue has discolored it. Also, a small black satin coin purse is included. This measures 4\" X 3 1/2\" and closes with a gold ring attached to the side of the coin purse with gold thread. Gold thread binding lines the top of the coin purse.The bag measures 9\" along the bottom, 7\" along the top edge, 5\" from top to bottom and 2\" at the side bottom area. The strap is 12\" long. The hinged sides show some scratches. Non smoking home.
