For decades before they were purchased by Orvis, Gokey was a family-owned company. They produced what many still consider the best outdoor footwear made in America.
If you have ever owned a pair of Gokey boots or shoes, chances are that you still have them. They are basically indestructible. (The pair which I personally wear the most were made in 1971 and show not a single sign of beginning to wear out.)
Hand sewn.
The original Gro-Cord soles and heels show almost no wear. They will be good for many years ahead.
