40\'S OR 50\'S LAMP THAT EVOKES SOLIDARITY!!!Here is one of those \"solid\" looking lamps because it is quite a bit larger at the bottom and works its way up architecturally in a tower-like fashion. And it is quite solid too--it will cost a little more to ship because it is made of \'Plaster of Paris\' or Chalkware. It has a very fine gold gilding throughout on it with a great patina. With the right shade and in the right setting it will truly make a statement. It has a lot of character. Note the six sided aspect to the vessel.MEASUREMENTS: To the rim of the shade it stands 48\", while to the top of the socket it is 35\" with a base that is 7 1/2\".The lamp comes sans shade.
