Colorful vintage/retro 1950s/1960s Mid-Centurymade-in-Japan 2-7/8” diam. hand-woven raffia straw cup-holder-style coasters, set of six all dyed to match in an attractive understated red, yellow andgreen on natural straw, and woven through with red and green satin ribbon. Straw is woven over cardboard blanks,so these are best for drinks that will not sweat and damage paper, or forcolorful display in your Tiki bar.

These havebeen in the family since the early 1960s, but were never used. Very clean coasters with just a fewbroken straw fibers that expose the paper beneath. Overall condition of this set is excellent.
