Payne and Company Curtain DrapeLovely and authentic original hand printed Belgian Linen Mid-Century Modern Payne and Company Curtain/ Drape. sale is for one large curtain panel, however 3 are currently available. Freshly laundered and ironed. A few small light stains, that I feel will most likely come out with more vigorous hand-washing or dry-cleaning. These are exceptional drapes and the fabric is a heavy excellent quality of Belgian Linen. The motif is fabulous and of course, titled \'Safari\'.These came from an elderly woman\'s estate in Santa Fe two years ago. I purchased a number of incredible items at this estate and am just now working on listing more of her wonderful collection. She had amazing items and her home was well cared for and in pristine condition. She was a world traveler, artist, writer, etc.These were hung in a library, filled with Hans Wegner Lounge chairs. Quite a memorable room, but the curtains...were just fabulous.When I hand washed them, the muslim lining backing, was too fragile to maintain and began to pull apart. I cut off the muslim and what is left, are the beautiful hand printed curtain/drape panels. Would look great as is or you could add a muslim backing to each. They could also be used to upholster several chairs.The quality of the linen is superb. As mentioned, there are a few light spots, some light fading on the edge of the curtain where the sun may have shined on the panel...but overall, these are in excellent vintage condition.Please email with any questions...happy to answer and glad to combine shipping whenever possible.Each curtain measures approx: 51\" x52\". They have a 4.5\" hem, which could be let out. They also are sewn at the top and can use a rod to hang.Lastly, I love Anthropologie Curtains...but these are a different quality, from a bygone American era...where we took incredible pride in the quality of the fabric and the hand screen-printed design. The Real Deal.Enough said.
