For sale this rare Omega military men wristwatch made in 1943 (during the second worldwide war). This watch has a rare Omega caliber movement: R 17.8 SC. Take note about to find a stainless steel watch during the WW2 is hard because all stainless steel material was used to make weapons, and military watches were considerate as part of military industry too. All pictures are fully original, never retouched as part of a better description process.

DIAL: Authentic Omega R 17.8 SC dial, it has been fully professionally worked, refinished and it is in beautiful very nice condition at present. dial is: Omega symbol, \"OMEGA\", \"swiss made\" marked. Beautiful spade hands, sweep seconds. New Plexiglas in excellent condition.
CASE: Authentic and original Omega R 17.8 SC case. It is a round case made of fine and solid stainless steel. Hermetic snap back case made of fine and solid stainless steel too. Inside back case it is: \"Acier inoxydable\", Omega symbol, \"Omega Watch Co\", \"Fab. Suisse\", \"swiss made\", \"10311895\" marked on a beautiful handmade perlage decorated metal base. Case measurements: diameter without crown 35,03 mm. Lug to lug: 40,85 mm. Never polished case, all original edges from factory are present.
MOVEMENT: Authentic and original Omega R 17.8 SC movement. It is a mechanical movement with a manual winding system. Bridges are anglage finished, and colimaconnage decorated. Octagonal movement (very unusual). Movement is: \"OMEGA\", \"swiss\", \"16 jewels\", \"9799607\" (serial number), \"R 17.8 S.C.\" (movement caliber) marked. This movement is in excellent working condition, it has been fully professionally serviced recently by master watchmakers. High shining movement.
STRAP: Beautiful new band made of genuine natural leather.
