This is Two Venetian Polychrome Blackamoor Hand Carved Wooden Wall Brackets ca.1820. They are not a pair but the legs do oppose each other and they are obviously made by the same artist not only in style but in the face of the person. The sizes of the brackets are different by about 3\", but the size of the person is about the same. The larger piece is about 15\" across the top and about 17\" from the top to the foot. The smaller of the two is about 12\" across the top and about 14\" from the top to the foot. The painted decoration is different yet similar and looks to be from the same time period.
