Guaranteed original sheet from the famous 1903 Ver Sacrumcalendar. Printed on 2 sides, one side with the month February, designed by AlfredRoller. The other side shows anillustration by Wilhelm list. The 1903 calendar is regarded as one of thehighlights in Art Nouveau (or Jugendstil) design. Especially in the field oftypography it is a remarkable piece. The Austrian version of art nouveau isoften referred to as Wiener Werkstätte. Printed as a woodcut, on handmadepaper, total edition size was just 500 copies. A complete calendar usuallysells for $4,000-5,000. Big advantage of a single sheet is that it can beframed and enjoyed. Condition: a small piece of brown paper stuck to one of thecorners, one corner dog-eared, 2 small tears in the margin, 2 pin sized holestop margin. Sheet size: 23,6 x 25,4 cm. (9 ¼ by 10 inches).
