Here is an English made sterling silver open face pair case pocket watch with a verge fusee movement. The case is in very good condition for it\'s age has not been polished, Has no dings on the inner or outer cases.Has the English silver hallmark, date hallmark and Chester hallmark on both inner cases and all are matching.( see photo ) The lids open to 90 degrees and shuts tight. The hinges are very good. The dial is enamel and has no hairlines or chips, just fine scratches. The hands are in good condition. It is missing the high dome crystal ,so will need a CRYSTAL. The movement is a verge fusee signed E. Fairclough Liverpool * this would be Edward Fairclough of Liverpool 1774 -1803 * The movement is in beautiful condition and in good working order. Winding and setting is good.This watch is key wind and set. Comes with a key. The outer case sizeis across 56mm Bow to base 77mm.You will need a high dome or bull nose crystal size 47mm across to fit the bezel.The watch has not been overhauled.
