VERY ELEGANT AND ORIGINAL ANTIQUE FRENCH EMPIRE SIX LIGHT CHANDELIER

This classic antique French empire gilt bronze and glass chandelier has six elegantly curving bronze serpentine arms with flower and acanthus leaf decoration each carrying the electric candle fittings. The body is in graduated hobnail glass with a fine bronze rim with sunflower cartouches and large acorn finials top and bottom.It is suspended by three ornate bronze chains from a very elaborate and matching ceiling canopy. It dates to the first half of the last century and is in good antique condition and working order. It measures 84 cms (33 ins) in total height, including the chain and ceiling canopy, and it is 61 cms (24ins) in diameter. This classic antique French Empire chandelier would add elegance and style to any setting.
