Very Elegant Festive / Bridal Cadolle Bustier / Corset Top, w/Fur, L, orig. $1200to be worn as a formal / bridal top
- Viscose/Wool mix, cotton lined- Very intricate, fancyjacquard pattern- Genuine fox or rabbit fur collar- Closure is a combination ofa single strip of 15 hook & eye pairs and12 loop lacing (grommets), overlapped so that neither the laces nor the hooks are on your skin- Shape enforced by 8 comfortably padded stiffeners, and several doubly enforced seams
This is a very, very, and I repeat, very upscale, high quality, fancy piece of corset for the sophisticated, elegant woman, or as a gift for a very special lady. With its impressive waist-to-hip ratio it creates a very sexy curvy shape with a thin waist-line, even for the \"straight type\".
approximate Measurements L, corresponds approximately to a 38C or D:Chest: 37.5\"Underbust (band): 33\" (extendable by up to 6\" (!!!), see detail pics)Waist (laced tightly): 30\"Hip: 35Length (lace-up, back): 12\"FrontLength(total length of stiffeners over cups):16\"
Measurements are approximate*.*note the redundant use of \"approximate\". These things are difficult to measure due to their complexity and elasticity. The measurements should be considered a minimum. In a lace-up corsage needs to be \"filled\". One can always fit more, but never less.
Under the lace is a wide band of extra material, allowing the garment to be extended up to six (!) inches beyond the above measurements (note the extra lace on the third is the quintessentialcorsetrybrand.
In fact, French born Herminie Cadolle (1845–1926), founder of the Cadolle lingerie house, is the inventor of the modern bra after her return from exile in Argentina to Paris in 1889, which is in essence the top half of a corset, supported by shoulder straps, patented in 1899. She called it the \"bien-etre\" (well-being). The same year, she exhibited her invention at the world fair, the same for which the Eiffel Tower was built.
Hermine Cadolle is also known as the fitter for Mata Hari -- thought you might want to know that... it might help boost your sex-appeal :-)
CAUTION: Male adoration and female envy guaranteed. Only wear if you aim to be the center of attention!
The corset is made from a very cosyviscose/wool mix. It has eight straightdiscretely padded stiffenersand several V- and L-shaped doubly enforced seams (which is part of the intricate processing justifying the price of this garment) for a good shape (see close-up detail pictures). It is put on by an inconspicuous single strip of hook and eye pairs along the side and also laced up on the back to perfectly fit your figure (or make it fit, your choice).
Cadole is probably also the most expensive, upscale brand for corsets. They are very well made with a lot of attention to detail. Just look at all the stiffeners and their arrangement in the detail pictures. You don\'t see that with any other brand.

This is a unique bustier from my Cadolle bustier collection. It retailed at $1198 in my boutique. See \"My Story\", below. And please, check out my other itemsand/or follow me for future listings of beautiful garments!

I have only one left of this style.

My Story

For 30 years, my mother and I owned a boutique with mostly exclusive, playful, extravagant European designer fashion clothing. Most of our designers were little known European artists, many of whom we knew personally. Often they would consider our design preferences. Many of our pieces even were unique because they were \"prototypes\" that were never mass produced.

I loved my boutique and I loved my job as I found great satisfaction and exhileration in advising and helping women of all ages, styles and sizes to look exceptionally gorgeous. But after my mom\'s passing and due to a combination of health issues and significant changes in the industry, I was forced to close the store in 2010. At that time, I surprised myself when we counted several thousand items of clothing, fashion jewlery, antique jewlery, underwear, corsets, beach wear and accessories. Not knowing what to do with it, my adventurous husband suggested that we pack it all up in a container, ship it to the US, put it in storage and liquidate our huge inventory on and other channels.

And here we are...

All our items are unused, mostly with original tags (where they did not fall off during multiple relocations) and sold here below our cost. The entire inventory has been in storage for five years where some of the movers had difficulties with the concept of not dragging garments across floors. Hence you might expect to wash all our garments --which I would do anyway-- as some (especially those closer to the doors) may have accumulated some dust and the ones further from the door may have a slight musty odor. We currently run several ozonisers and air fresheners in our storage in order to neutralise any remaining odor.

But don\'t you worry. If we discover any stains, damage or unappetising odor, we will declare and document it or remove it from inventory if the damage is significant. Should we miss anything, you have the right to return it.

The name speaks for itself. Irenes Treasure Trove. Picture an abandoned paradise (my store) with hidden troves (piles of boxes behind storage pad lock) and unexpected treasures surfacing as you get yourself lost in the myriads of never before seen treasures. A little dusting off, a small bribe (Paypal) to slip by the guard (me), and the treasure is yours...!

If you are looking for very rare, brand-new European designer clothes at a steal, and you are willing to go through the little extra burden of first washing or dry-cleaning them, you\'ve come to the right place. I can almost 100% guarantee you that you will never encounter another woman wearing the same dress... :-) as some of them only exist once in the whoile wide world, or at least in a 1000 mile radius.

Any questions, please ask. And please
