Very Rare Impressive Imperial Russian Faberge Silver Centerpiece. Cut glass bowl inset with a wavy edge; silver repousse frame has a wreath decoration on the front and back with ribbed borders, handles on the sides and stands on leafy feat. Signed with original hallmarks for Faberge, Julius Rappoport - His hallmarks: \'I.R.\' in Russian Cyrillic (I.P.) and 88 zolotnik (.917/1000 silver) St. Petersburg kokoshnik mark. 

Very impressive large piece of Faberge works you have to have in your hands to appreciate the item.Total silver weight 18.3 ozt. (569.16g.) measures 6 in. high x 17.25 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

Very good condition; normal wear. There are no chips, cracks or repairs but there are very light scratches on the silver.The set is made by the most important supplier of Faberge silver objects in St.Petersburg for the Imperial Family. All items are accurately described to the best of our knowledge and the pictures serve as part of the description. Julius Alexandrovitch Rappoport, Russian silversmith, Fabergé workmaster. Born in 1864. Trained in Berlin, one of Fabergé’s rare craftsmen of Jewish origin. Julius Rappoport opened his first own workshop in St. Petersburg at Ekateriniski Canal in 1883, then he moved to Moscow to become a Fabergé workmaster. He belonged from 1886 till 1908 to four \"workmasters\", main leaders of Fabergé workshops. He was the Fabergé’s most important supplier of large silver objects. He is best known for his naturalistic animal figures (massive silver casts), but he also executed special commissions for the Imperial Family, the Imperial Cabinet and noble families Yousupov an class=\"p4\">
