Very Large Universal Diaphragm & Eyelid Shutter.. 1800's Very Rare For Sale
++ UNIQUE & VERY HARD TO FIND ++FROM THE EARLY DAYS OF PHOTOGRAPHY A very early Eyelid shutter & Universal Iris/Diaphragm..Originally used on a large format studio cameras probablydates from the mid/late 1800's.The universal diaphragm will take lenses up to adiameterof approx 110mm (+4 inches)..so is of a very large size..overalldimensionsare 150mm at it's widest.This is fully working smooth adjustment..without issues..and showing only age related wear. The Eyelid shutter..which is pneumatic is complete..but this will need acomplete rebuild as the covering materials that have been used have become brittle over time...also the rubber tubing has deteriorated..I have left the shutter materialon the shutters frame so thathopefullyit can be used as a template. Wooden lens board is 230mm x 230mm approx. This is quite auniqueitem from the days of earlyphotographyand wouldbe marvelous when complete and working.. I have started the sale with a low start price.... & a fair Buy Now considering the rarity. Good
