Very old Keris from Sumatra
This is a very nice and original Keris Pusaka from Sumatra Island. (Indonesia). This beautiful Keris has the dapur (shape) 11 luk Kebo Lajer (Tammens DE KRIS vol1).This Keris has a very old blade, that is still in this good condition, this is very rare for a Keris from Sumatra

Kerisses from Sumatra are very hard to find, specially one like this one.Special about this Keris is that is the very high age, I etimate the Blade 17th century.The keris has still a very nice ands good visable pamor on the blade (see detailed pictures). According to me the type of Pamor is Adeg (strong pamor). This kind of pamor is considered to be very strong and powerfull and gives \"protection\" to the owner.

The pamor is hard to get on a picture. Off course in real vision the pamor is more nice. I\'m not a pamor expert so please check this yourself (see the pictures).
This Keris has very beautiful wooden scabbard from high class wood with nice grain, the wooden Hilt is rare, but clearly for a Keris from Sumatra. According to me the wooden scabbard is less old then the Keris itself, but made specially for this Keris long time ago (see detailed pictures).

The kerisblade of this Keris is +/- 30 cm and the total length of this keris in the scabbard is 42 cmOff course the low starting offer is less then the actual value and only to encourage you to give a good offer on this nice keris.
