Overview
During the post-war era from 1945 to 1947, Kellogg\'s Ltd., Canada, issued three 150-card general interest “Kellogg\'s All-Wheat Miscellany” card sets: (1) Kellogg\'s ALL-WHEAT, (2) Kellogg\'s ALL-WHEAT 2nd Set of 150 Cards, and (3) Kellogg\'s ALL-WHEAT 3rd Set of 150 Cards. A single pane of eight perforated cards was inserted inside each specially marked box of “Kellogg\'s ALL-WHEAT” cereal. The 150-card sets consisted of several subsets, 15 to 30-cards each, covering topics such as:
- Aeroplanes (1st Set, 2nd Set, 3rd Set )
- Denizens of the Deep
- Dogs
- Histories of Flight (2nd Set )
- Sports
- Strange Animals (included three prehistoric animal cards)
- Strange Birds
- Things to Make
- Tricks
- War Uniforms
- War Vehicles
The 2nd and 3rd sets were issued by Kellogg\'s Ltd. in 1946 and 1947 respectively. These sets were distributed in the same manor as the original series issued in 1945. The 2nd set issued in 1946 and featured similar subjects as contained in the original series, but dropped the “Strange Animals” cards and replaced the “War Vehicles” cards with “War Uniforms” cards. The third set was issued in 1947 and contained 150 cards covering similar subjects as the 2nd set. The American Card Catalog reference number for the sets are FC9. Since there are three individual 150-cards sets, we refer to them as FC9-1 (1945 set), FC9-2 (1946 set), and FC9-3 (1947 set).
