THIS IS FOR THE 5781 POWER AMPLIFIER WITH MANUAL ONLY I am selling my VERY RARE 1977 Philips Laboratories 3 piece setall separate. Theamplifier , pre amp and tuner . I have read only 400 of these USA madesets were produced . All 3 were bought in 1978 and retained same ownership for 40 years. They have Paragon sounds label on the back . The gentleman told me they have not been on in about 8 years . They were build in a wall and that\'s were the remained for many many years . I also have all 3 manuals so the amplifier manual will be included with ampStarting withthis Philipslarge meter massive 210 watt per channel Philips Laboratories 5781 2 channel with large VU meters . I took cover off and as expected its dusty see pics . I wiped a spot for reference . This weighs about 70 lbs and is a pure beast. The amplifier powered right up all lights , soft touch buttons and master volume right and left knobs all function great .Both channels arevery equal an the VU meters ,Obviously it needs a good cleaning and gone throughand replace what is needed to bring this back to factory specifications. the face is very nice. I did some extensive searching and was hard pressed to find this amp in either black or silver .
Now this is 40 year old audio equipment that really has not been used for years . All powered right up. Right now why I have it I am enjoying playing vinyl. Nothing shuts down or gets hot . This amp is sounding very powerful crisp and clean . 210 watts at .06THD is monsterous power in 1977 standards.I helped the guy unframe these from the wall and now looking for someone to enjoythese pieces. Theamplifierhas the high end audio store Paragon Sounds Toledo OH wherethey were bought from in Toledo Oh.
Being this is a 40 year old amp it should be bought understanding it needs a cleaning and tune up SO NO RETURNS on this . Right now it\'s all hooked up and enjoying till sold . I love it but I want a vintage tube amp to run my JBL Harkness C40\'s
