Please Note: I have just acquired a large collection of antique clocks mostly rare unusual ones. Please take a look at my listings over the next few months some really nice ones coming. They have always been cared for and are original antique clocks

This clock is a top quality antique 18thc Miniature English weight driven verge lantern clock and a very rare clock indeed signed by Rimbault Junior Of London

The clock is hung on the wall by means of a hook which i will include with the clock and all you need is some spacers for the spikes to sit on against the wall

The lantern clock is driven by 2 weights one for the time & strike and the other for the alarm mechanism with 2 smaller counter weights. the clock strikes the bell to top the number of hours on the hour and also strike the top bell when the alarm time is activated with a seperate double headed hammer

The clock benefits from its original dial with matted centre with silvered chapter ring with roman numerals along with the single hand and alarm setting dial just behind the hand. The dial also benefits from a boss to centre of arched signed Rimbault Junior London with pierced bronze spandrels either side

The clock has 2 brass doors one either side of the clock which open to reveal easy access to the movement. These are kept in place with spring levers and can be removed for easy access to the movement

The movement benefits from its original verge escapement with fixed pendulum to back which swings back and forth and is a pleasure to watch. The clock is in working order keeping time and striking when it should with the alarm also working fine

This is a very rare English lantern clock with verge escapement and one for the serious collection which has come direct from a huge private collection

The clock has superb miniature proportions measuring 6 inches high x 4.5 inches wide x 4.75 inches deep
