Hereis a near Mint B.F. GoodrichWartime Promotional Tire Pocket Watch made by Bulova

Doing a Google search on these, I found a few Tire watches, mostly by Marvin & Bulova, but they were mainly from the 50\'s and early 60\'s. I did find a couple others like this, one on the mybulova site and one on aretail site.

What is rare about this one is that itisfrom 1944 according to the Bulova date stamp anduses the same 16J Sweep Second 10AKCSH Movement, Dial and Handsthat was used in the watches issued to the Military.

The movement has been serviced and is running strong and the Crystal has been replaced because the old one had Yellowed some.This is a Hacking style movement (meaning when you pull the stem out, the watch stops running) and the dial with the Luminous Numbers & hands is flawless, but the Lume is weak and does not glow like it used to when new.

The tire that is advertised on this watch is the B. F. Goodrich SilverTown (see Pictures for Ad) and this watch was probably given to customers that purchased a full set of tires, or maybe just to B.F. Goodrich dealers as a token of appreciation from B.F. Goodrich.
