Very Rare Early Brass BEST Pad Lock with key #1...(some are about 100 years old)....this is one of my last 2 Best Locks and was one of a few that were theCenter Piecesof my Vintage Pad Lock Collection... a High Quality US Made Best Pad Lock...Note: key and Lock have No Numbers on them which leads me to believe this is an extremely Prototype or very early production as later ones are all numbered...believe this to be my earliest lock...readsBEST on both sides, has patent numbers + Lubricate with Graphite stamped on the top surface...key and lock work like new with Great Patina, but the key sticks a little when you go to remove it, comes out if you jiggle it slightly, so it likely needs a little graphite....I pulled this out of my box ofVintage Pad Locks that I\'ve been collecting for decades...most were boughtat Vintage Car swapmeetsseveral decades ago...some have patent dates going back over a hundred years...not sure of the exact date of manufacturing for most so use your own judgement but most are extremely old...a Rare find in such pristine Condition...measures about2 13/16\" tall when closed by1 1/2\" wide and about 7/8\" thick...good luck...kindly wait for shipping quote before sending payment and allow a couple days to package and get quote...Priced to Sell with ...Be Sure to Check Out my other sales, Larger Parts May not Show Up on USA and I ship Worldwide...
