A Very Rare/Fine Korean Unified Silla Yaksa ((Bhaishaiyaguru) Standing Bronze Figure-8th C.:
Korea, UnifiedSilla dynasty, Circa 8th century.
Standing on a pierced lotus plinth, a left hand holding a medicine bowl,
bronze castfigure with hollow back, a bowl (medicinebowl) in the left hand, the right hand held
in abhaya muda, the face framed by pendulous ears and unisa with archedbrows and down cast
eyes. It’s in good condition with anatural dark black broze patina over the surface but all gilding is disappearedwith age. it measures 3.1” (8cm h.) and 2.6 oz.
