This is an extremely rare and exquisite fern frond brooch made by Hector Aguilar, circa 1940-1945. With large gracefully curved fern leaves, it is one of the largest I have seen from this designer. It has a wonderful deep age patina and is in very good condition. Aguilar’s work is considered some of the most valuable and collectible Taxco sterling silver in the world today. Large items such as this rarely come up for sale, and it would make a prized possession for any collector of Taxco jewellery from this era.
