Veryheavy weight 720 grammars, that is1 Lb and 9.4 oz. Remarkable aristocraticdesign, original art deco 1923 solid silver tea pot, immaculate condition. Thisitem is of the highest quality, aiming at the upper class market, hallmarked bythe silversmith JD&S which is James Dixon and Sons, established in the citySheffield in UK since 1806. These reputed and high quality silversmithsexpanded with their own showrooms in London (1873), and later in Sydney and Melbourne(1912). The hallmark f you can see in the relevant photo is for year 1923. Thelion hallmark is for solid British silver. The condition of this item isremarkable for its age. It has never been restored, nothing on it has beenreplaced, it is very strong, the handle is firm and stable as new, it is an alloriginal item, difficult to find in this condition. This pot has been used fewtimes only during all these years. It was kept with care, it does not havesilver loss from frequent silver polishing. The hinge works perfectly well andthe top is also all original, the stopper of the screw, the holding part, allundamaged and original. At the bottom it has the model and registration number.This pot is part of a complete four original silver set items with guaranteedprovenance.
